Intel Unveils Its Multi-core Graphics Processor and Intel Microprocessor

Posted at 5 August 2008 8:10

I remember going out to lunch with a group of young people. We talk so many posts about intel microprocessor.

I like to take a look, but it was mostly pretense, just touching the words of intel microprocessor with my eyes and making a swallowing movement accompanied by a delighted smile.

You would be amazed at this. Moreover, you should be surprised to learn.

Intel is in that part of the James Bond movie where the bad guy talks about how he's going to eliminate Bond, which here is that pesky little company, Nvidia. Intel has disclosed more details on Larrabee, the stand-alone graphics chip with much Intel-compatible x86 cores on it. Those cores, or little processors, are like little PC microprocessors on a chip, but they can handle the functions of a graphics processor. There will be anywhere from eight to 48 cores on different .. read the rest part.

Every author appreciates hearing the words 'thank you that was a lovely work.'

Teaser: Microprocessor Company Intel Corporation disclosed Monday the first details on a graphics chip that it hopes will pose a huge challenge to Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices' ATI division, the two top graphics chip makers. Read ..read more.

Do not believe for a minute that I am going to be successful to spend almost every waking hour by not working at a specific task that I love.

This morning I was stunned to read pure FUD in a story by John Markoff in the NYTimes written in the present tense about a chip that doesn't exist. Then I learned that the WSJ simultaneously published the same exact FUD, the aspiration to create a single multi-core processor that will combine the CPU and GPU. It's a great idea, but no one has done it yet, and Intel has a history of failing miserably when it comes to render graphics. Markoff writes The new microprocessor family, code-named ..full story.

And I hope you will understand just what it is that you can have - and that you choose to have it!

  1. The primary computing unit in a mainframe computer. in the PC today, this is usually a Intel Pentium class processor or competing AMD or Cyrix microprocessor. In separate device with a microprocessor, the microprocessor is the CPU for the device. If a device has a microprocessor, it is said to be a "Smart" device, without a microprocessor, it is a "dumb" device.
